Why My Content Says “AI Info” (and What That Actually Means)
If you’ve noticed that some of my photos or posts are labeled with “AI information,” I wanted to take a minute to explain what that actually means.
The short answer?
Soft Suburban is not an AI-generated blog.
Every room you see is my home. Every project is one I’ve actually completed. Every opinion is my own, and every article is written with my own thoughts, experiences, successes, and even my decorating mistakes.
So where does AI come in?
I use AI the same way many creators use editing software, simply as a tool.
For example, I use it to:
+Arrange my own photographs into collages.
+Help organize my thoughts when I’m writing.
+Catch awkward wording or repetitive sentences.
+Polish grammar and readability.
+Occasionally brainstorm titles or layouts.
That’s very different from asking AI to create an entire blog from scratch.
All of the photography is my own and of my own home (unless I say otherwise), as well as the decorating, projects, ideas, experiences, mistakes, future plans, and my own personal voice. I do not simply have AI create something and post. I write my own articles from start to end and only have AI help organize. Then I edit further to ensure that my own feelings and ideas are conveyed the way I mean them to be.
If you’ve followed me on any social media for any length of time, you’ve probably noticed that I don’t chase trends just because they’re popular. I’ve tried some and will continue to try things in the future, but it’s because I like particular ones, not because the rest of the world says I need to. I 100% do not and will not recommend products I don’t believe in or haven’t purchased and tested myself, nor do I make any commission by recommending anything. Maybe one day I will have enough interest to start a store front, and if that day comes, I promise, while there may be limited items, they will only be those that I have personally used, and if by chance I haven’t I will indicate that as well. Authenticity is not optional.
I don’t pretend my home is perfect. My goal has always been to create a home that feels collected, welcoming, practical, and beautiful, and then share what I’ve learned along the way to help others. I don’t do it to brag, although I will say, I like my home and am beyond grateful for what I have. I truly appreciate everything and never take one piece of my life for granted. I’ve seen my share of real trauma and challenges, but I praise God for bringing me through those to where I am now and look to Him when challenges arise again.
Could I have written these articles without AI?
Absolutely. Would it have taken longer? Also absolutely.
Technology has always changed how we create. Photographers moved from film to digital cameras. Designers moved from drafting tables to CAD software. Writers use spell check, grammar tools, and editing software every day. For me, AI is simply another tool in that toolbox.
I believe honesty matters, which is why I wanted to explain it instead of pretending otherwise.
When you read Soft Suburban, you’re reading about my ideas, my decorating philosophy, my successes, my DIY projects, and sometimes my failures. You’re seeing my own photographs of my own home—not stock photos or AI-generated rooms.
I hope that authenticity always comes through.
